Zuppa Toscana - a hearty, cream and broth based soup with kale, italian sausage, and potatoes
chickendumplings I have been working on this soup since we got married, which I admit hasn’t been all that long, but I have made it a lot.
cajun-red-beans-and-sausage My wonderful sister sent me a care package (didn’t I tell you she was wonderful?!), and in it she put this recipe from one of her roommates in college. Gwen and Lea, thanks for sharing your recipes with me, it was super yummy! I will also add that I made a mistake in the cooking process: I soaked the beans overnight, but thought it would only take the normal, four hour cooking cycle in the slow cooker to make the meal…I thought wrong. Rinse the beans and sort, soak the beans overnight and don’t drain afterward. Either cook the meal in the slow cooker all day, or cook the meal on the stove for several (I’m talking at least 3-4) hours at a bubbling simmer. Start earlier than I thought…the good news, if its ready early it only tastes better once it sits and the flavors meld!
Crocksagna a.k.a. Crock Pot Lasagna It’s lasagna that you make in a Crock Pot …tasty and convenient!
davids-honey-mustard-drumsticks Way to go, lil’ bro! David is one of the grill masters of my family. I love these drumsticks!
glorious-beef-stew This is my mum’s recipe, and I have to say that it is the best beef stew I have ever eaten. It is not a crock pot wonder, and it takes a little time…but it is well worth it…just ask my husband!
tomato-basil-soup When I think about this soup, I think: Steaming bowl of soup, grilled cheese, a movie, and my husband…Friday date night!
pork-tenderloin This pork recipe is super easy, makes a substantial quantity of food, and is mighty tasty! I like to serve this with mashed potatoes, and salad/asparagus/broccoli…etc.
seared-salmon-with-soy-ginger-sauce My sister made this for me when my mum and I visited her in New York. De-lic-ious!! I made this so much when I came home that Brandon got burnt out…however, I could keep eating this for a long time to come. And, it is an incredibly quick and healthy meal to make!! Thanks, Gwen!
Shredded Beef Tacos- adapted from Saveur magazine…it makes a lot of food!
